Guy trained in medicine in London and worked as a General Practitioner in the West of England in the 1990’s before moving back to the South East as a medical advisor to the Life Science Industry in 1999.
Guy originally joined GlaxoSmithKline in 1999 working in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs roles with a spell in early research project management. He then moved to Servier to build a Medical Affairs and Market Access capability and more recently at AstraZeneca has worked in Medical Affairs roles at country, regional and global levels. He setup and led AZ’s global medical evidence centre and built a patient centricity capability, leading on the delivery of many patient engagement and infrastructure activities. He fundamentally believes patient engagement is not just the right thing to do, but when done properly, delivers value to anyone with an interest in improving patient experience and outcome.
Guy is married with 4 children. He is a novice beekeeper, seasoned fly fisher and an imperfect football linesman.
